"Fear not, we'll resurrect our Dark Lord soon."
"You sure? Because yesterday we resurrected a lunatic with a gatling gun."
"It doesn't please you to learn that we have so many brothers?"
Odie O'Bright looked up at the giant idol that brimmed with dark power. Birds wheeled around the statue, squawking madly. One of them shat on the advanced computer they'd dredged out of time and space. Its lasers disintegrated them.
He looked over at his 'brother', Ou Di Wan Lee.
"No."
"Well, tough, I'm trying it again."
A blood-curdling bestial roar shook the entire temple. Gigantic footsteps thundered.
"Oops..."

He can't face even the thought right now. So many things remind him vividly of what happened: darkness, sudden loud noises, being alone...
Last night was particularly bad. He shouldn't have let Darthe get him that drunk. He just needed to be with someone who understood, a fellow survivor. Even if the guy's a jerk sometimes.
He still doesn't remember them ending up in bed together. He wakes up aching from more than just the hangover. It must have been frantic, intense.
They don't talk about it over coffee.
